Steve Vitaniemi

Steve and Lisa Vitaniemi began their ministry with us in October 2014.   They reside in Thorntown, IN. They have a daughter, Jenny, son-in law,  Jose and grandson, Spencer who also reside in Thorntown.

Steve and Lisa are former missionaries to the Republic of Haiti from June 2011 to June 2012.  They have also spent many years traveling to Haiti on short-term mission trips since 1995.  Lisa’s involvement in Haiti included working with mission-sponsored schools on teacher development and Christian education of children.  Steve taught for many years in a Bible college and worked with ministers of the local churches.  Steve also served as the in-country chief financial officer and oversaw the mission’s in-country business office and handled the accounting, expenses and payroll. They hope to return to Haiti in 2015 on a short-term trip to visit the country and people they fell in love with many years ago.

Steve served for 15 years as the Associate Minister of Cayuga Christian Church in Cayuga, Indiana.  He has worked with children, youth, and adult ministries, as well as missions and benevolence ministries.  Steve was also responsible for many of the church’s administrative tasks.  Steve holds a Masters of Ministry degree from Kentucky Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in business.  He has over 8 years of experience in banking and real estate lending as well as many years as a volunteer and officer in community organizations/activities. 

Steve’s favorite Bible verse is I John 3:18, “Dear children, do not love in word or in tongue, but in action and in truth.”

Lisa served in public education as a high school technology teacher for 21 years and IT coordinator for the district. She has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University.  Lisa has enjoyed serving alongside Steve in ministry working with children’s programs, women’s programs, assisting with church technology and anywhere Steve needed her.

Lisa’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 1:6, “being confident in this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’ 

Corinna Wagner

Corinna Wagner is our Administrative Assistant.  Her responsibilities include the publishing of our newsletter, development and maintenance of our webpage, and development of our social media accounts.  She will also be taking a large role in the preparation of our weekly services in the area of media projection to better assist our volunteers.  She will also be helping us to expand into new areas including computerization of membership databases and other administrative and clerical duties.  
 
Growing up in Taylorville, IL, Corinna always had a strong love of animals, children, and helping others.  She spent her afternoons working for the local veterinary clinic, babysitting and helping at church.  Corinna continued her education in Early Child Development.  Corinna has worked in several day care/preschools,  worked as a retail manager which helped expanded her computer software knowledge, worked as a Children’s Ministry director, a job coach for special needs individuals, a Therapeutic Riding instructor, equine barn manager,  and a receptionist.   She has spent many years helping in teen ministries, Children’s ministries and praise and worship ministries.  In 2008 Corinna had the opportunity to go on a missions trip to Honduras and teach children about God’s word and also build a small apartment for a young man in need of a home.  Corinna resides in Jamestown with her husband Adam, and three children.
