From Steve’s Desk:
Little, or not so little Spencer Jameson Serrano has made quite an entrance into our family and we are so blessed. He was born on Monday, July 25th at 10:59 am at St. Elizabeth Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette. He weighed 9.4 pounds and was 22 inches long. His birth was a difficult one for him and he has spent the first days of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. He experienced birth trauma and had a rough time. He is showing great signs of improvement. We have many reasons to praise God. We also praise God for you all. Your prayer and concern for Spencer and our family has been so encouraging and uplifting. Thank you so much. Since the first day that Lisa and came to Advance, we knew it was where God wanted us and today I am so grateful. Your actions of care and kindness have been a wonderful encouragement us. This is exactly why God gave us the gift of Christ’s Church, His people. We need to walk together uplifting and supporting each other through these hard and difficult times. And we are to rejoice with each other in the good times. Thank you church for being the church! Let us not lose or forget this amazing gift of love that God has given us to share with each other, brothers and sisters and even strangers. Paul writes in Galatians chapter 6 verse 2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Thank you for carrying us this week!
